Hello fellow BP members, California Investor here looking to expand from LA into the Eastern US markets, Kansas city, Indianapolis, and Raleigh, NC (where I grew up) to name a few.

Before relocating here to Missouri, I worked for 7 years in property management on the maintenance side, working my way up to Director of Maintenance for 600+ units in 8 different complexes.My wife and I are currently working with a couple partners who are located in California, and together we are searching for our first buy and hold investment property in the KC area.

It is our only property in VA (rest in MN) and we rarely visit.

Out here in California, there is talk of folks fleeing the state for areas such as Texas. 

Once I start visiting builders, sending out mailers (I already got my postcards), getting some leads (first open house was a total bust) I will def be digging in with a CRM.

I've became friends with one of my realtors and have gotten to know their partener pretty well to which we meet on every visit I make.

As I'm an out of state investor (I live in CA, where investing is rough), I'm looking for fairly minimal repair work to start off with, and would even consider turnkey properties for now, until I can build up a stronger network in the area.
