I assume most off market deals are bought with cash because they are typically seller sensitive or special situations where the seller needs to move quick so I would sure if anyone has had a success story doing it.

and now there is FIRTA which requires tax withholding on sales by non-residents/non-US citizens.Here's a list of popular countries, with restrictions:United States--- Purchases in some areas can require disclosure of principals and FIRTA withholding at sale time approximately 15%.United Kingdom--- 3% stamp duty on investment buyers and 15% tax if bought in name of shell company.Thailand--- Foreigners cannot buy freehold land....and only 49% (foreign quota) of certain condo projects.

Strong wind gusts and very dry conditions aren't helping with fighting the blaze and trying to contain the raging wildfire that is causing so much damage and grief.Can you imagine, going to the grocery store or visiting a friend down the street, and an hour later seeing smoke a few miles away, not thinking much about it or being very worried about it...but a few minutes / hours later being forced by order to LEAVE NOW and a few hours later you find out that multiple people are considered missing and that almost the whole town was completely wiped out... as if a bomb went off and flatted the entire area..Well, this is very much a reality for people Northern California in Butt County.
