Talking about insurance, even you pay them by job you still liable if something happen because you the one bring him to the job, so if you like to hire someone make sure he has liability insurance at least.

Have him match you up with someone locally that knows CA tax sales inside and out.   

I have read a lot of books on starting, but I am having trouble learning how to find that good deal I can bring to someone.

Find someone who is very good at what you want to be doing, and learn from them. 

I would also suggest doing what you can with your skill set.For example, you could create a video course about XYZ, the only that you know that you can teach someone.

Should I go find someone that really wants my business?
