I'm sure there are several good REI meetups in your area, I'd start the CPA search by going there, building relationships, and asking for references.Best of luck!

In my experience, it is an excellent tool for tracking incoming calls and being able to match the marketing that generated that call (i.e. a different number for different mailings, etc.) but I always found it to be cumbersome to make outgoing calls from, considering a cell phone is pretty simple to use.

If anyone is in Los Angeles and wants to meet up for a coffee and chat about long distance real estate investing, bounce ideas, search cities etc let me know!

I was doing a search of county court records online, and ran across a "rule to vacate" ruling on a certain individual. 

Don't be discouraged with the low inventory if your search gets started before spring.4) As you mentioned, I'd start to get to know several areas where you'd like to invest (down to the neighborhood level, not just city).
