It is used in housing, lending, hiring, promoting, firing and prosecuting.This horse left the barn long ago.

This was not my idea of an ideal Saturday.In 5 years, I earned myself several “promotions”, which simply meant that they would pay me an extra $.50 per hour for each hour of my time that I spent reconciling their cases,meeting their deadlines, and being handled more difficult and complicated cases to reconcile the longer I stuck around.

Good fortune would have it that I would be hired by a great company for a position I was not qualified for, then after an injury to a co-worker I was promoted into a even higher paying position.

Than, why so many investors promote getting your license? 

Your finance background would work nicely with such a company as they often rely on creative finance strategies to attract investors, and then collect a promote (management) fee in addition to equity.
