Does anyone know about the Chandler AZ market?

Im in the Indianapolis market and I have some land I would like to put up a structure on.Can someone point me in the right direction to start learning how best to tackle this first one and subsequent ones.I appreciate any help you can provide.

I don't know anything about Oklahoma City except that a few California investors I know are buying there.

Yes, I know I will lose some of the tax benefits by doing so; but owning something out right sounds appealing to me. 

I'd assume that it's just that it's such an old house, it's a bit drafty and it shifts in the wind and that's what causes the phenomena, but who knows?
