I am curious how many buyers their are out there in your neck of the woods on the east coast. 

@Eric Slater - You do have to attend a CHA meeting for landlords to get an intorduction to the program, which is required for all first time CHA landlords.

There are tons that you can attend and learn from folks who has been in the business for years.

I attended a real estate investor's meeting this past summer and really enjoyed it.

I recommend attending @Joe Fairless meet up that is in on the last Tuesday of every month in Deer Park. 

If you have the chance to look up investor clubs then I would highly recommend attending some meetings to meet other investors and vendors here locally.  

Hi all, I recently attended a one day workshop on owner financing hosted by Scott Horne and one of his partners in Dallas and the area seemed interesting but has a lot of potential variations.

I’m currently well positioned to take the plunge, great credit, some cash for down payment, and am hoping for a FHA loan (and a 203k loan if necessary) but need to find the right experienced agent, contractor and make the right connections.I plan on attending the local real estate meetups in the next month, but am wondering if there’s anyone out there in Bigger Pockets that can provide some referrals.
