Ivy.What you can do is go to the network tab and message people who are in Vernon.Ask them if they flip there and what their experience has been.

Get involved in networking....virtually but in person also. 

It can also lead to the many horror stories of assessments of thousand and thousands of dollars because they need to put on new a new roof or do some other capex project and the HOA is broke.But with all that said, don't let it discourage you, I just want to make sure you go in with your eyes wide open and are not distracted by potential returns.

I currently live in the Fulton, MD (midway between Washington DC and Baltimore) and plan on starting my real estate investing business by first networking with people in my area.

Also I am looking for motivated people to network with and possibly do business with as well.

This was the path we chose; we moved into an apartment with Lloyd in August 2018, took a few months to settle and network, becoming familiar with the market, and the started touring with a Lloyd Real Estate Agent in November and closed on a foreclosure duplex early February.
