Looking to Network and meet fellow investors in my area

Hello all! I currently live in the Fulton, MD (midway between Washington DC and Baltimore) and plan on starting my real estate investing business by first networking with people in my area. I'm interested primarily in utilizing a buy and hold strategy with multiplex properties (MFR). Also, I will be moving to Lafayette, IN mid-summer to begin graduate school and I want to House Hack for the few years that I live there. Are there any suggestions/networking events in my area for me to get started with?

@Alex Deacon thanks for the advice! I gave it a try last night and was able to find several in my area over the next couple weeks. I plan on attending one as soon as possible.
