@Chris L. that's unfortunate. i dont know how andrew can continue to come to BP if he has created such a bad reputation thus far. he acted like one of those contractors that we hate. you know the ones... promise stuff, dont show up, dont do the work, then keep promising. terrible..you should bump those threads up often to protect other people from falling into his trap.

Ask them to provide you with information on the property and some proof that they own it. some of which you can find by doing research on the web. try and find what the land is valued at.
