So here's the deal: My mother (the money) and I would like to buy some properties together, with any rent profits distributed unequally to us both (let's say 90/10 in favor of my mother), with the understanding that this will change to more of a 50/50 split in a few years.

Tell them to bring their camera, tape measure, mother in law and whatever else they need to make a decision but its too much to ask of the current tenant for a prospect to have multiple showings of an occupied place.

with these rascals, i think i need tosave the beer for me and the open house...lol....thanks ffor the tip though, i may have to figure somethin like that out..the truth is though, that people will have the address and can drive by whenever they want at anyother time when these guys will be home...nothin i can do about that except pay their mother off, but i'm stillnot sure if that's ethical..i've mowed neighbor's yards before when doing rehabs, but this is a little more personal

I actually have a partner who would work side by side with me to do the construction, my father in law has a sheet rock business and he would be doing any sheet rock and my mother in law works at ace hardware and lumber for the last 17 years and gets all building materials for her husband and I at cost.And no, I would not be going back to work in the plants.
