There are a lot of pilots and flight attendants that live in some of those areas.  

I plan on doing a 1031 in a a few years so in all likelihood I wont be addressing any of the bigger ticket items.

I don't live in Texas, but I went last month to check my property and found some of her mail where there were other outstanding bills and even an arrest warrant ( for not paying tickets I guess).

I guess I lost my spreadsheet somewhere on the flights.  

Once you are more than an hour away, however, the property might as well be a plane flight away, so don't necessarily constrain yourself.

Candidates for MTRs include digital nomads, corporate relocations, flight attendants, insurance-paid temp housing, divorcees, and people getting their main home rehabbed.

I know an Ensign in the CG who bought a house in Pensacola, as he's in flight school, and he's making good money using it as an AirBNB. 

Not sure where you're based but I'd recommend making a list of people you'd like to meet, catching a flight here and spending a weekend.

Am I missing any other big ticket items?
