The only thing I did was pull up the bill on the City web site for the last bill on 2012.

The least you can do is research information on the web and become as knowledgeable as you can prior to spending that much.We thought it may have been a good idea to spend around $5k, but then I realized it was like paying $3k for somebody to teach me the basics on how to fish and $2k on the actual guided tour.I didn't need to spend the money on simple stuff I can find on the internet.

I use a company on the web called Tenant Verification Services (TVS).As far as question to ask the previous landlord are basic questions about there payment history, property up keep and reason for leaving.
