Today is my first day on BP and it is encouraging to see someone who had the same goal and has achieved it!

I'm curious that this is encouraged and what the details are.

So, I plan to focus on improving my financial management and retiring debt first, and as I do that, read and very slowly start to build up a network in real estate investing through attending meetings of local real estate investor clubs in Northern Virginia and DC, interacting online here and other places, and maybe bird dog stuff in my area for investors to get comfortable with investing and build contacts ( think there is value in using bird dogging as the first step to building a foundation in investing, which is why I think the Vertucci people were wrong to tell me not to do it) and then move to the assignment of contract/paper flip/basic wholesaling stuff.

Many of the other BP vets that you interact with are also followed by many for the same reason.I am not one of your followers but I do read your posts when I find them.

And once you're more familiar with some of the people and the subject, then let more of the details out.Read all you can on Bigger pockets and interact with people here and ask questions.

If you do interact directly with borrowers, keep your home address out of these communications.If you are worried about somebody looking up your home address from your business entity filing, you can use an agent.
