Is his preventative maintenance so good that a toilet won't break any time in the next 20 years? 

There could be two houses right next door with the same exact layout and one had $100k dumped into a remodel and Zillow/Trulia wouldn't know the difference.

The remodel was slated to take 3 months, but it took 5.

Ive done some remodel work all around the US but have never invested in real estate myself.

Our company is planning to open a new service for RE investors in residential clients and perhaps property management companies, according to our employee pool, most of them work at residential short term remodels (3 days to 4 weeks) on the side if we are between jobs (waiting for award or notice to proceed or still bidding). 

This was for a 150 board remodel.  

I don't know of a local General, but I just remodeled a restaurant and I can tell you subs I would NOT use.

I wonder where they put the toilet!  

I've found that with contractors in the rental remodel space often use subpar products that fail quickly (within weeks or months).  

We completely renovated the home, new kitchen, refinished hardwood floors, bathroom remodel, basement overhaul, new carpet, etc.
