BTW--there is an agent in GA that has been promoting "virtual" wholesaling...they advertised property in Florida...I filed a complaint, and the state is going after them.

(Also, be aware that @Larry Fried does not disclose the fact that he is a promoter for the site in that blog post link above ). 

NC is a trustee state, and the simple fact is that that site is promoting trustee sales now and they didn't (at least not as many trustee firms) several years ago.

A year an some months later was promoted to Quality assurance which is what i do now (You know when you call customer service and the voice on the phone says "this call may be recorded and monitor for quality assurance purposes"?

Then, there's promotion, publicity, insurance, facilities, ...My group is not a REIA, but they do charge for monthly meetings to defray the rent on the facility - it's combined four office suites in a business park with some walls removed.

I am not familiar with that particular group but if it is a group that only promotes wholesaling, i would keep looking.  

However, you could negotiate a promote off of the equity multiple too if you plan a long term hold.

That area is diverse enough to have much to choose from and I think they will continually be OK.  

It was a great opportunity because I was able to get into a small ranch home for only $2000 due at the closing table, including the down payment because my bank had an promotion for no closing costs and I got the sellers to do a 3.5% sellers assist.
