Does that mean the walls and ceilings you're painting don't have any texture?

Use paint, tile, texture, whatever to make walls look nicer, tear them down as last resort.

They actually have a more forceful jet of water coming out too, which can take a little adjusting to get used to.I wouldn't compare them to low-flush toilets, because the low-flush toilet does not have sufficient flow to remove the solids in stool; the shower is only rinsing soap - how much flow do you need for that?

So the ceiling had some texture (old house, pretty common) that probably could have used a skim coat.

To compound matters, we are converting from an F-16 unit to an A-10 unit which means that after 24yrs of flying the F-16, I now have to return to training and learn another jet.

I need some ideas on how to fix this horrible stucco on this house.Worst case I will just paint it over, but its still going to have that horrible textured look which is what I want to do away with.
