There are people, including some politicians are talking about changing the city laws to make it less restrictive, but so far it's just talks. 

There is this notion that government does what is best for the people, that is not the job of politicians.

So this is decreasing the options for lower income people as no one wants to rent to them and take the risk.But the politicians that grandstand and say "We want to keep people in their homes" (by stealing private property and forcing them to house people on their dime) end up looking good (at least to low information voters, which is who supports most of the people that make those statements) 

School districts say they don't have enough money but build giant football stadiums, and politicians have worn out the "no state income tax" excuse.

Thank you @Brian Stutzman and all you other engaged Idaho landlords for helping these politicians understand that we are providing a service at least as valuable to their communities as any other small businesses.

Reason being there are NIMBY's and politicians want to keep affordable housing for people to live there (and who vote there) via ownership or rent instead of prioritizing a free market for investors wanting to own/operate STRs. 

The results weren't good due to locals in cahoots with the police and politicians ripping the investors off.

The day of reckoning will come when the dollar deteriorates from the printing presses not from politicians unable to pass more spending. 

I have indistrial developer friends who know where the jobs are going and makes me know why politicians get rich.Let me know how your deal works out.  

If the moratorium were winding down, I would fully approach this problem from the point of view of eviction.But with the politicians willing to shaft us landlords into 2021 I can see cash for keys being practical.
