I avoid any dark colors, if I ever wanted to paint back a lighter color, I would have to primer first, which is more work for me.

But if I were to do anything, I'd just go with a lighter trim color to give more contrast between the trim and the green on the home, maybe a light gray or even white.

I don’t do an accent colour below the rail, but if you do remember the rule about colours getting lighter as they go up... ie: use a darker shade below the rail.
