Or, I thought about just throwing up some lighter shutters & painting the stucco a light color. 

We also used a bonded primer and outdoor flooring paint to paint the existing tiles in our bathroom to a dark grey from 70's pink tile.

I have found that using the color palettes from the paint companies is 10 times better than trying to choose paint colors individually.  

They like their color palettes and vignettes arranged on the fireplace mantle.

If it does not have a direct coloration to your bottom line there is no reason to spend money other than necessary maintenance.

You are also working with less emotional clients and ones that are making more of a financial decision verses worrying about the color of the walls or what kind of flooring is in the living room.

We're in a coastal town, so the imagery and colors were chosen to reflect that as well.
