We also opted to install the coil for A/c and it came out to be around 2200 all in per unit .  

We are working on an insurance claim related to a hail storm that damaged the roof and the AC units.Our HVAC guy bid to replace the units with new R-410A units, which will require replacing the coils and lines also. 

I try not to provide dishwashers as they break constantly, a coil stove will last pretty much forever though (maybe you have to change some burners out) unless the rats and roaches destroy the wiring.

However after I was presented with a $1,100 estimate just to replace the heating coils, things changed a bit.Sometimes when taking apart an older water heater, things can go past the point of no return.

Next time they come out have them do a leak repair before they add freon.It's an EPA violation to continue adding freon when you know there is a leak.Finally, the compressor may overheat on hot days due to clogged condense coils.

Hvac tech hereChange the filter, call it a day.As others said, dont expect anything from someone cutting you a check to liveIf its a furnace, the heat exchanger can crack from poor airflow (extreme cases)If its a heatpump, the indoor coil can get clogged if filter was installed improperly, or got sucked through due to high resistance.

We have a schedule we keep every season change for cleaning coils, cleaning gutters, caulking windows and the like.

They go to your air handler coils, and duct work. 

He diagnosed it as the coil was bad and it needed to be replaced.
