I basically sold my interest in the property.I walked away with 9K and a big head. 

I tried to hold out as long as I could but when my oldest was heading into kindergarten and staying in the city stopped making sense in every way.

I actually started with my first studio purchase in Manhattan in 2009 and have been able to flip up quite substantially.

My initial thought was that I would head out of state to start and I still may do that, but it would be my first investment.  

Offer to him three other options to help him wrap his head around that he will be transitioning out of the place, then let him choose one. 

We are heading up to Michigan next week to prep that house for sale and will try and sell the FL house in the fall.Our plan is to use the profit from the sales to buy a rental here in Nashville (or possibly join forces with someone to flip.) 

This is due to the fact that nothing has been built new here in the last 8 years and the unemployment rate has come down substantially.

A lot of folks here scratching their heads about the new frontiers.
