I can tell you this, where I stay it's student accommodation flats all around and a few shopping center buildings.

It sounds like you might have a student rental.  

Everyone has at least something to give on, if the 'student' is willing to listen. 

I am new so finding good deals I can participate in right now is pretty tough.
