I have a ton of stuff that I can't sell either so a storage unit is in the future as an expense if I don't purchase a home where I can store it all. 

My Buyers are in a weak position and I really want to help them and make that dream of ownership reality - they just have enough for the down payment and hotel + storage is not feasible they say. 

For instance, if I passively invest in apartments, self-storage, etc.

If I don't agree to extend, they'll have to put their belongings in storage, find and move into a short term rental for the remaining medical residency term, while also shopping for a place to rent in another state.
