Homes are not such commodities like cars or picnic tables, the reason property has value arises from it's utility, functions, and in residential that equates to serving a social function as a home.

It's a function of Days on Market (DOM), insurability status (meaning whether its condition is good enough to permit FHA financing), and possibly whether a prior offer has fallen through.

I am buying a property,by looking at the prelim report, it has a trust showing both mother's name "A" ( pass away) and daughter "B" is selling the property short sale to me. on the #2. of the title report, it says "Title To Said Estate At The Date Hereof Is Vested In: "A"(the mother) and "B" (the daughter), as Co-Trustees ( or the successor Trustee) of the "A" 2006 Trust, dated May 24, 2006 subject to processdings pending in the bankruptcy court where a petition for relief was filed In June 12, 2013 ."

A home he bought @ the tax auction (4 years ago) sits empty & in bad shape, yet he took an investor (that we financed) to court for non painted window frames installed recently in 25deg weather.

I retired quite early from a career in IT with the US Courts with a small annuity and some savings in our 401K type plan.

If the debtor placed stripping language in, they would put it in the plan and the court would have to agree.
