I believe the agency he works for is an Independent agency that represents many different companies.

In Texas the required classes to get a license are Principles of Real Estate I, Principles of Real Estate II, Law of Agency, Law of Contracts, Promulgated Contract Forms, and Real Estate Finance.2) I am sure there are many others, but a few Real Estate Jobs that may/may not require a license include: Residential Real Estate Agent, Commercial Real Estate Agent, Commercial Leasing Manager, Residential Property Manager, Leasing Consultant, Real Estate Investor, Appraiser, Contractor, Mortgage Broker, Loan Officer, Foreclosure Specialist, Escrow Officer, Land Developer, Surveyor3) If you would like to sell land, I would look for jobs that are constantly looking at surveys, plats, zoning, etc.

If you want to “feel good” you could find out if a local lawyer who would take the deal for a percent of the recovered funds, maybe even a collection agency would do that, or you at small claims court while visiting your property.

Usually these deals are too small for agency debt which is why we require a local credit union or bank partner.
