Are you in a market where the costs of the necessary capex is cost prohibitive?

After I close I will still have 30k in immediate cash and I have stock market investments that are another 30k, so even more frustrating that it's not even a monetary issue

I have an off-market opportunity and want to jump on it! 

This is exactly why I've been staying away from markets like LA and focusing on midwest markets. 

For flipping you have to be in a viable market that produces such opportunity. 

Most properties over there get snatched up really quick since they are in good school districts with low purchase prices and you don't need to do super nice finishes to get top of the market rent or ARV. 

My top reasons are:- Current income- Hope of price appreciation- Vacation home to go to- Store of value/hedge against inflationOne other reason for me that I am not sure is captured in the original list is that STRs is what my market gave me.

I have felt several of those same pains at times while brokering deals and helping my clients navigate the STR market here in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle. 

@Nelson Sbravatti in my opinion, Jackson County is a better investment market.
