Would you rather buy 1 property that is located extremely well (like a penthouse in the city centre) ?

I have a great, but relatively small, PM team in a city I know well (2,000+ miles away from where I live!)

And because of the similarities between codes and jurisdictions and other government entities I can do this for just about any part of the country (granted the largest cities like LA & NY are their own special case).

Now, I've taken a quick business trip there for 1 day recently and I'm aware that the northern part of the city is not really "culturally mixed" if that's ok to say.. 

What I am doing is daily trying to learn my market (Salt Lake City) by running numbers on deals that I see daily from MLS hot sheets that my realtor has set up for me.

I grew up in the South Hills (Mt Lebanon) and then moved to New Mexico for school but moved back because I love this city.     

I'm working on it with the various officers of the departments involved but what I wanted to remark on was the helpfulness and transparency of everyone involved from the City of Atlanta. 

Is it a big city, small town, middle of nowhere?
