@Steven Smith I live in Bay Area as well and I don’t invest in CA because of no cash flow.This doesn’t seem like a good deal as investors in Bay Area mostly make money from appreciation and I don’t see this property getting appreciation in near future.

I have Section 8 tenants in a couple of rentals here in the Bay Area.....Including Oakland.....and although Oakland has some VERY tenant friendly laws, I actually chose to get a Section 8 tenant in Oakland because it actually makes it easier to evict a tenant.

The area is very close to the Marina District that is in development which is great, but be careful in this area as the Port of Tampa Bay area can really vary from block to block.
