lot prices have peaked in ocala, i bought a vacant lot here a few months back and cant give it away now. a realtor i know has told me that there is 8000 vacant lot listings in Marion county now.anyone who bought anything in ocala 2 years ago has made a lot of money, but now things have slowed considerably here

I know this is probably elementary, but I would like to know how one should react to both the peaks and valleys of real estate cycles, using both a 1031 exchange and a conventional buy/sell as an example.

As long as the numbers work to what I’m looking to do I will end up doing the deal (even though San Diego seems to be close to peaking), granted it’s quite a bit difficult finding something that makes sense on mls, but it does come up every now and then if you really take the time to be on top of it.
