Andrew Miller yes, right now we have slightly more property out of state than in Atlanta, but looking to change that soon...suburban Detroit reminds me of Atlanta in many ways (people are really friendly in both places), I sometimes jokingly call it Atlanta north.

Looking for my first purchase in Bismark ND

I am a fellow investor on the north side of the city.  

Your thoughts on living in an area we WANT to live in is great, neighborhoods we've loved have been pricey (mostly hugging the river on the north or south between Zilker Park and East Riverside)

There are groups for the south-side, north-side, & central suburbs, but not out by us.

Also, @Brie Schmidt helps run a great meetup on the North side.
