The contents inside the home were eerily untouched - food in the fridge (gross), clothes in the dressers, furniture, end tables, tools in the workshop, toys, shoes, etc.It took me and another guy a week to catalog everything and donate it all in the hopes I could perhaps write it off.

So if you calculate a 20% down payment in this property + $2000 for DIY demolition + $150000-$20000 to build + $6000 for a 12 month mortgage payment then you're looking at profiting $50,000 to $100,000 (not including appreciation that these other new homes will bring to the table for the little lot).
