So bottom line contractor owes you money.. lumber supplier has a legit lien most likely and you will pay twice for the framing lumber.and by the way 7500.00 for framing lumber for a house is soooooo cheap if that was the entire framing package we pay 30 to 50k for lumber and truss's for a 2k to 2500 foot home out our way..

So when you can come in and take a whole package of them, your making it possible to 1031 over those funds which is saving them a ton of capital, it's more then reasonable to split that with them right?
