Even with an FHA, the work needed can creep upwards of similar or more than the closing costs, so you're looking at doubling your cost to own a multi-family property.

But a discount/special favor that not everyone would have had the ability to achieve is also not something I could bring my own self to do either.

@David C.if you don't want to own individual properties, then yes, syndications are one option along the spectrum of passive.i am not 'recommending' them, because they are not something i have much knowledge of. 

While I understand that, my understanding and what our own attorney has confirmed, is that there should be an individual who serves as the guarantor in this type of instance.

Plus, some management software even offer their own access control hardware.

From experience with my own daughter AND mother-in-law, I can say that this *could* have been due to a clogged drain caused by their gunk (face products, toothpaste, etc) in the p trap. 

After the dates are fulfilled, the Airbnb property would be removed from her account and I would add the property to my own Airbnb account.
