In most areas of the country, the seasons play into the market, with sales traditionally falling off in the fall, with sales to families with children slowing after school starts, then another spurt of buying before the holidays, and settling down until Spring.  

This is the ideal time from LL perspective because it avoids the holiday season, winter months (not that CA has much of a winter) and the school year.
