That's not to say it it's bad to buy here, but you do have to be picky about what you buy.However, there are greater reasons to invest in SD real estate for a house hack:-Appreciation over cash flow (a gamble, but a fairly safe one over the long term)-reduction of living expenses.

The appraiser was looking at the county assessor web page which showed the property as 1,900 sqft, but it has been added on to since the 1920's, it's a frankenstein house at over 3,300 sqft now.

There are many types of applicants you simply can not consider that are in addition to your normal screening standards.Ontario is a highly tenant friendly jurisdiction.Before you ever even consider investing you need to study the Ontario RTA and LTB web sites.Tenants have a very serious advantage over small investors so being prepared and heavily armed with the knowledge of the law is absolutely mandatory.
