Good morning,Does someone know if a foreign investor does a Fix and Flip in the usa also pays Self emplyment tax ?

I'm not going to pursue this property but I would still love to hear about anyone who did a fix and flip in a rough neighborhood. 

I know the rehab "R" would be more like getting more storage units rented or increasing the rents rather then fixing up the property, even though you could do that too.

If this property works out my plan would be to pursue a FHA owner occupancy loan, live in it for a year and fix up, move out after a year and rent the property out.

If I bought the properties, I will need to fix the roof, the entire house, need new heating system, new AC, pretty much new of everything.

I found the dishwasher was leaking, so I pulled the dishwasher out, pulled the part off, showed them the part number and even sent them a link to the part ($30).A few weeks goes by and again they called and said the floor was still wet and that they fixed the dishwasher!

The average Fix & Flip in the USA takes 6 months from purchase to closing the sale after the flip.

If you use almost all of your money to buy a property and the next months you don't have renters and something needs to be fixed, you will end up setting yourself back instead of getting ahead.
