New to Real Estate and Looking for all the help I can get

I am a sophomore at Purdue University looking to learn more about Real Estate Investments. My sights have been set on Multi Family Homes and I am really loving reading and listening to your podcasts about them. I have a few questions to the Biggerpockets community. What books are great to learn about Multi Family Homes and how to go about doing it? I have also thought about buying a Multi Family Home within my college town of West Lafayette and then renting it out while I live in it for the next couple of years while I am at school and I was wondering what your opinions of this would be? How do I learn about what is a good price and how much you should rent the unit for? Any tips would be great.
