I am on the road to saving up $30K by the end of this year, which is not much here in NYC, but I would like to buy my first property outside of the area and follow the footsteps of the many others who have gone down the long-distance real estate investing path.

This particular location has primarily salons, restaurants, antique shops surrounding it all within walking distance.

@Kyle Smith When buying at a distance the worst thing you can do in my opinion is buy in an area that is suspect.

Here are the property details:   Its a small 3/1 SFR (1200sqft) on a big lot zoned for 2 units in a hot area of Eagle Rock walking distance from Occidental College (prime area lots of high end homes).

At our company we like our clients to be involved as much as they want to be with the expectation of trust in our expertise for certain operational factors.If time and distance are a factor, it's better to have a solution that is custom tailored to your needs.

This would put me out of the market where I prefer to buy (And im not interested in long distance rentals).

@Dametrius Clark My house hack was in Cleveland Heights and it worked out fantastically, some of my friends also house hack in Cleveland Hts but I would totally do Lakewood too, it just didnt work distance wise to my job.
