I used to do junk removal and demolition for these kinds of companies and saw all the worst case scenarios in columbus from tenants that can pay $800 per month. check the vetting requirements, raise the price to get into your unit. 900 per month is cheap in columbus if you are buying c class make sure to take a little more like 2 months rent so the people moving in aren't scraping by

Going from owning to renting isn't a good move, IMHO.

I learned that April and May are seasonally slow for rentals, since most people seem to move in the summer, and also that the market here in Wesley Chapel, FL is a bit saturated with excess inventory from all the new construction activities in the area.Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

@Jay Hinrichs as always you are correct, I didn't pursue anything further other then asking on here if anyone had actually closed with them, I just took my lump and moved on.

OR, should I just stick to researching and educating myself and waiting until I can move in to a house of my own next year?

Property is in great condition, so no repairs are needed, move in ready.
