This is not something you would want given the current situation, not to mention all evictions have been suspended.Additionally, given all the social distancing guidelines it's going to be pretty difficult to properly screen and show the unit. 

This is flat ridiculous and you literally won’t even accept your actions.

I would like to know best practices or recommendations for screening tenants (Specifically for this type of house hacking).

The significant other qualifies for the apartment (screening process has just been completed).

Same goes for any long-term rental portfolio short on reserves or that got caught flat-footed with vacancies.I'm sure larger multis will do fine if they can work with tenants to bridge any gaps in income.

Screen new tenants carefully and work with your good tenants.  

With proper screening and a diverse pool of applicants, you'll likely have the ability to pick the very best that won't tear up the property.

By that, I mean put a lock box on the door, and after you pre-screen them, and have a photo copy of their ID, give them the code to get in and walk around.I also have a friend who did something a little different.

Make sure you screen well, document everything, and stay organized.
