A few things that helped me get over my fears: 1.

I want to tap into my equity to get another rental, but I have a hesitation or fear of doing a heloc because I don't want another monthly obligation to worry about. 

Building your core 4 as mentioned in David's book will help alleviate any fear you have about remotely investing.

I have immersed myself in the educational section, now I am struggling with the next steps, financing,  and I have identified that fear is a factor.

I still work full time as an architect, and am trying to manage the fear of risk in transitioning out to do what I have always wanted to do!  

My other fear is being to narrow searched and have only 600 to mail to.

I'm looking into foreclosures, but I'm somewhat fearful.  

Eventually her negativity ate away at the marriage, fear of money (and lack thereof) CONSTANTLY caused problems, and it became more and more clear that in her world there was no place for my big ideas.Marriage is a partnership. 

I think I'm going with a comfort thing here but am also tired of letting fear having me jump in. 

first and foremost I think this is a great site for many of us that want to take the next step but fear overruled at times.
