Turns out another tenant in the building has suddenly started with the same type of behavior, trying to push lease terms, and trying to dictate when we can send our service guys in, always on their terms, never meeting half way.

After wasting a few days interviewing, we sat down and I specifically told the agent to stop processing people that do not meet criteria.

Hey BP, I am a new investor from North Carolina and will be traveling to Detroit next week and am looking to meet with some locals to grab a drink or meal with and talk real estate.

I went to the planning and zoning meeting last night and breathed a little fire, but these sorts of things make acquiring short term rentals very risky.  

I've worked in construction (renovations, rehabs, residential prop mgmt, electrical) for 13 years and I'm looking forward to learning more about financing the implementation of that experience into a fix/flip and/or rent program as well as meeting new people to collaborate with.

I am here for a conference but will have plenty of time to meet up during the day and in the evenings especially.

I'm going to meet my first Real Estate Agent as I begin putting together my team.
