From that moment, I learned my lesson, only do business with good people.

Some of those lessons will be difficult others will be joyous, all are worth experiencing.

Many life lessons from arguably one of the wealthiest and wisest men to walk this planet.

Many decades later, through other life lessons, I began to realize that people can only handle what they're capable of... and that facts are irrelevant to most (they feed on assumption and group-think, not facts).The most valuable lesson I eventually learned from this was that I should be thankful that others are the way they are - were it not for them, I would have a lot more competition and much less opportunity for profit.  

I feel that the most important overall lessons they taught me were to:1) Live a frugal life, because it doesn't matter what your income is, if you can't save anything, you won't be able to invest anything.
