If a book is on the top Amazon, audible, or bigger pockets list it is probably on my radar. 

However, as you note, a portfolio lender who will retain the loan on their books as opposed to reselling it will be able to extend past the 10 loan cap. 

Their reason was that these members are from Florida, and not in California.I paid $5K for the two day class for one of these schools back in 2006, and got a whole bunch of books, which I can purchase from Amazon (except in different covers).I believe that the best way to learn and invest in RE is spend lots of time research on BP, and educate yourself through books.Good luck

David Greene's long distance REI book would be a good resource to read. 

Look at a guy names grant cardone and listen to audio books, the rich dad poor dad series. 

Probably folks here know about check book 401k's and such to invest in real estate. 

In Brandon Turner's book "The Book on Rental Property Investing", he states that you have your tenants paying your mortgage for you, and that he could work a minimum wage job for the rest of his life and still retire a millionaire because of the tenants paying down the loan.

Hi Bigger PocketsI really enjoy reading the forum, blog, as well as BP books by Brandon Turner and Trench. 

It is a lot to take in but Bigger Pockets is quickly becoming my favorite spot.
