I DID make some good contacts through the vendor booths and have been able to turn that into some positives however the hopes of picking up useful nuggets were few and far between.

It is true you could potentially get a buy side commission as an agent (I have), but you won't have the lender and attorney contacts that a full time agent will have on your team.

And while the charity is part of the paying process they won't let their "clients" sign a lease, the caveat being if there are any issues the landlord can contact the charity and they'll handle it, whether that be removing the tenant or fixing the problem. 

It is probably easier for us shy people to go the event, stay in our seat, and wonder why we've made no new contacts.

Most of the lawyers that I contacted are not familiar with the usual investor contract such as, assignments, lease options, etc.
