As a Canadian, I am looking for information as to what the process is regarding  purchase, cross border taxation on revenues, US mortgages, private versus business/corporate arrangement, etc.

Right now we live in a great neighborhood in Indian Land SC, right across the NC/SC border.

Thanks for clarifying, but I see it is very close to the district's border, I guess the zipcode is driving the price up, so a property next block with a different zipcode will probably not benefit much from university district. 

@Michael Malkowski we do have a Connecticut meet-up bordering Bridgeport (in Fairfield) and we average about 45 people - would be great if you want to post on meetup and if you want to take over that role too would be a huge help!
