And, in some areas (like mine) you can look up on your county's Assessors Office website and see how much the property was purchased for and what the lien amounts are (this can often give you an idea). 2.)

CRIME is a big one.The percentage of non-violent to violent infractions and if crime is increasing or decreasing in the immediate area.Intermodal transportation study is another and the future land use map.This will give you an idea of where they are today and what they have planned for the area in the future and how the city and county will be allocating their resources to develop certain areas.Much more items than this but it's been a long day and my brain is out of fuel........ :)

In turn (if it's at all legal for me to assume a modified loan, I will rent it out at the rates listed above.Regarding the back taxes the bank has paid her back taxes I believe 2 years ago as the home was in risk of going to "tax sale" (I've already verified this on the Los Angeles County Property Assessor website).
