Just the other day, I met a new plumber on site at one of my rentals he was quite intrigued by the fact that I knew what a shower divertor was and the process he would need to take to fix my issue.

As a result, my agent told me he “made a business decision to protect his client” and he followed the company policy to increase the deductible as opposed to keeping it at $1k which he told me would make my policy defunct, therefore...no policy.I responded that I made the decision to go with this insurance based on the quotes he gave me, and that the increased deductible felt to me, like a bait and switch.He responded with empathy and said that he has done his best and that we should get some quotes on fixing the hail damage.

I put new tile flooring throughout, added a closet to make a 3rd bedroom, new appliances, new paint, new counter tops, refinished cabinets and added new hardware, gutted and updated bathrooms, landscaped outside plus lots demo, fixed a roof leak, sheet rock work ect.. for $13,500.

Reason being is that I will be in school for the next 2-3 years(10-20K rent), I can add value/fix the house while I'm living in it, instead of paying rent I can rent out the other 3 rooms to my friends at school (mortgage payments/free living/profit?)

I have also heard about the huge fluctuation in rent prices during events which is why I’ve been looking at something I could fix up while I’m in Newport, and then rent out once I leave.Again, thank you for this information!
