In PA there are 3 components to the yearly taxes, municipal, school and county. 

And the politician that gives out the most "free" stuff will be the one that continues to win elections.That sure as hell sounds like a damned good reason we want kids to learn calculus and program robots in high school (to do the jobs of tomorrow) but they never have to write out an amortization table (to figure out how they're getting screwed today).I'm still trying to figure out what kind of slick moves were pulled to kill Home Economics and basic cooking instruction in every high school in America.

@Corina Eufinger I plan on moving to Lakeland with my girlfriend who is going to school down there.

It is located near the wanted schools and averages about $100/ sqft.

I was wondering how those areas are, are they appreciating well within the past couple years, what helps the value of the house go up besides great schools, low crime and the area around plus commuting anywhere?

Katy/Cinco is a solid area with fantastic schools.

I’m currently in contracting school and ultimately, my goal is to sell new builds.

Buy location, good schools, and in the path of progress.
